The County of San Diego has introduced an interactive website that helps users locate affordable housing options. The tool provides valuable information about property locations, income limits, and eligibility requirements, simplifying the search for residents.
David Estrella, Director of Housing and Community Development Services, explained that this tool brings all County-funded housing options together, helping people navigate the often stressful search for housing. The map even includes details about unit sizes, developer websites, and upcoming construction projects.
This resource is part of the County’s Housing Blueprint, a long-term initiative to address the regional housing crisis. Since 2017, the County has invested $310 million in affordable housing, resulting in 2,100 new units, with 3,300 more in progress.
